Day 135 CCP and exam

CCP and exam

As the clock clicking, I have already finished most of my trimester one study. Therefore, it is about the time to test ourselves on the subject we learned, and confront the final justification of our effort. The examination is the last impediment between us and the good grade we deserve, hence I would like to clarify my mind and develop a distinct outline of the exam preparation.

I will adopt the CCP method on this topic, which stands for construct, control and prepare. Since the goal is straight-forward, I will endeavor to achieve the highest grade possible in the final exam. The construction part is basically what I am doing right now, where we determine the goal, analyze the significant factors that affect our result and establish the plan to achieve it. In order to do that, I must measure the different characteristics of each exam. According to the university schedule, the exam date will allocate through 10th June to 18th June. Thereby we have to adjust our plan corresponding to the matter of urgency, form of test or even the understanding of individual subject. For instance, the ‘information system’ will have a less priority on my list, due to its feature of multiple-choice question exam and the latest date among the four subjects. On the other hand, the commercial law requires me to contribute more time, because it is my first test and the topic needs a lot of reading. However, this exam will be held open book, so I need to evaluate the time arrangement along with other two subjects that require a substantial amount of practice.

Once we constructed the fundamental guideline for our revision, we have to make sure that it is under our control. That involves detailed time planning and efficiency monitoring during our revision. We should simply produce a specific plan for this last month of study. Since there are still two remaining topics to be learned, we must proceed our revision while maintaining the quality of study. A concise time management schedule will definitely assist us to control the effectiveness of our study.

At last, we actually get on the ground and start our preparation. In my opinion, there are three objects we must accomplish in this stage. Firstly, we reconstruct the notes in a conclusive and precise format. This will sufficiently help us to revisit all the important topics in the subject, and also emphasize the theories in our mind. In addition, the practice always makes perfect. Especially for the financial accounting and fundamental of finance, we must be familiar with all the equations and entries as to maximize our answering speed/accuracy in the exam. Obviously, the past exams, tutorial questions and questions in the textbook should be completed and reviewed. Furthermore, we should realize the particular instrument which may benefit us in the exam. For example, the commercial law will be held open book, and we do understand the lecturer will aim to test us on our understanding of relative statutory provisions or cases. Consequently, we should make our own index that link the cases and the statues together. This material can be expected to accelerate our speed in the exam.

In conclusion, the CCP method is another illustration of the logical approach on goal accomplishment. We should comprehend this method and apply it on other objectives in our life.
